Quinto appuntamento del progetto Arte e scienza connubio di scoperta e invenzione.
Il progetto prevede una serie di incontri con professionisti provenienti da diversi settori artistici e scientifici con l’intenzione di raccontare, partendo da considerazioni e esperienze personali, i processi creativi che portano verso la scoperta e l’invenzione.

Massimiliano Valle (1965), CEO, Board Member and Co-founder of Petroceramics SPA.
After graduation in 1991, MV took a Ph.D. in Earth Science and Experimental Petrology at the University of Milano in 1995. Leader of the R&D laboratory in ICRA S.p.A. refractory ceramics producer since 1993, he worked in the management of the laboratory activities, refinement of XRD and SEM/EMPA structural and chemical analyses devoted to the development of new materials and optimization of processes. Member of Experimental Petrology Group in University of Milano since 1995, he worked with Prof. Poli and tutored various BSc and a Ph.D. thesis. He taught at the University of Milano as associate professor in the years 1998 to 2000. MV is co-author of several scientific publications and paper proceedings at major international conferences on ceramics materials (e.g., ICACC, ICCM).
From 2003 he is CEO and Research Manager of Petroceramics SpA, since its foundation the company has constantly grown up in terms of turnover and human resources. MV has relevant experience in applied R&D and during his professional carrier has developed many new processes and products that have been successfully exploited. MV holds some 15 patents, many of which have been extend WO and are strategic background of Petroceamics in the sector of CMCs materials and processes.
